Legend tells of a Great, Wandering Turtle of titanic size and girth that traveled the earth, accompanied by a Spirit that lived upon his shell. The friends roamed the earth and its oceans with no land to call home, exploring the world and whiling away the hours playing SKIP-BO, a game they devised in honor of their eternal friendship.
As time went by, the Spirit grew saddened that he and his friend did not have a home to call their own. The Turtle sensed the Spirit’s inner light diminishing day by day.
One night, the Turtle slipped into a fitful sleep and began to dream of a tremendous volcano that erupted from atop his shell. As lava and fire poured down the sides of the Great Volcano, it began to settle and cool, forming an island the size of the Turtle. When the Turtle awoke, he not only found that he had shrunk many times in size, but also that the island he had envisioned in his dream was a reality.
